Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha/8 or better) is frequently seen as one of the most difficult but well-loved poker variations. It’s a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, invites play from every level of players. This is the primary reason why a once invisible game, has expanded in popularity so quickly.
Omaha Hi-Lo starts exactly like a normal game of Omaha. 4 cards are handed out to each player. A round of wagering follows in which players can wager, check, or fold. Three cards are given out, this is known as the flop. A further sequence of wagering ensues. After all the players have in turn called or folded, a further card is revealed on the turn. a further sequence of wagering ensues and then the river card is revealed. The gamblers must attempt to put together the strongest high and low 5 card hands using the board and hole cards.
This is the point where a few players often get baffled. Contrasted to Hold’em, in which the board can be every player’s hand, in Omaha hi lo the player must utilize precisely three cards from the board, and exactly two cards from their hand. No more, not a single card less. Unlike regular Omaha, there are 2 ways a pot might be won: the "high hand" or the "lower hand."

When figuring out a low hand, straights and flushes do not count. the lowest hand is the worst hand that might be put together, with the lowest value being A-2-3-4-5. Considering that straights and flushes don’t count, A-2-3-4-5 is the worst possible hand. The low hand is any five card hand (unpaired) with an eight and lower. The lower hand takes half of the pot, as does the high hand. When there’s no lower hand presented, the higher hand wins the complete pot.
It may seem complex initially, after a few rounds you will be agile enough to get the base nuances of the game easily enough. Seeing as you have players wagering for the low and wagering for the high, and seeing as such a large number of cards are in play, Omaha 8 or better provides an amazing collection of wagering choices and because you have numerous players trying for the high hand, as well as a few trying for the low.
